Here at Flavors we believe that certain things go together, like fresh feta and lemon on a Greek salad. Or whip cream on a huge chocolate shake. Two other things we think just fit are music and food. That’s why Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights we feature live performances from 6:00-9:00.

Thursday nights you’ll find our stage set up for Dan and Sharon Pillen, a.k.a. the Third Born Lefties. If you like Americana/Folk or have heard of the famous Flick Coffee house of South Florida, then Sharon and Dan are for you. Their music is light and delightful and they play with seemingly limitless talent and ease. Dan lays down a solid foundation on the base for Sharon’s crisp guitar playing. Both sing and while Sharon takes the lead we have been informed that Dan is readying himself to take the vocal reins now and then. They draw their inspiration from family members like Don Oja Dunaway (Sharon’s older brother), the Beatles, and most importantly-each other! These two artists wanted us to inform our customers that “2009 is the Year of the Duo,” and by watching them on stage and listening to their unique sound, I don’t know what else it would be. Thanks to you Dan and Sharon. By the way, their favorite dish is a 12 inch half Spinach Artichoke and Chicken, half Roasted Red Pepper pizza. Now that’s teamwork.

If you find yourself in our restaurant on a Friday night, you’ll probably find yourself slapping your knee and cajoled by fits of laughter and applause. Warren R. McCrary will be playing the mandolin as John Dickey plays the acoustic guitar covering songs from artists like Bob Dylan, James Taylor, and of course, The Beatles. Not only do they play them with their own flavors, they are two incredibly well- rounded entertainers. When the night winds down for us it starts to pick up for them. People don’t usually leave after they’ve eaten because the music is so good, which is fine with us as long as they’ve also enjoyed the food. John Dickey grew up in the city of Baltimore and Warren is a St. Augustine native, only two people as completely different as they are could produce such an enjoyable and unique sound. They haven’t thought of a band name, despite the fact that they’ve been playing together for awhile. But get this, over the next couple weeks their going to take suggestions from Flavors patrons. Always a treat guys, thanks. Their treats, other than entertaining customers usually come in the form of a Steak Fajita wrap and a Shrimp wrap.
